"Last year was Off the Hook for the FMF Big Kahuna Fishing Tourney" said Joel Thornberry of FMF. "I've seen huge bass come out of these ponds; caught a 6 pounder myself, so bring your rods and get in on the fun. Lots of FMF swag and trophies as prizes! See you there."

Freestone Raceway is situated on the 1150 acre Miller Ranch (est 1853) and has many ponds that fed cattle for generations so the fishing can be epic. RPM Sports is proud to announce the 2013 Best of Alabama/Georgia Series schedule. This years schedule will feature a power house of tracks known throughout the Southeast. We have listened to all of our riders concerns and thoughts with regard to class structure, number of events and feel like we have a home run schedule. Riders will enjoy predetermined breaks in the series, perfectly maintained race tracks, consistent event venues and a staff with more years of service in the sport than any other promoting group.
We are also excited to announce the SCCS schedule later in the month. We have some exciting news that will shake the racing community up a bit and we'll share this with you very soon!
Here is YOUR 2013 Best of Alabama/Georgia Motocross Series Schedule:
December 3, 2012 (Wortham, Texas) - Online registration is now open for the 2013 James Stewart AMA Spring Championship at Freestone Raceway on March 19th-23rd. This years meet will again feature a two-moto format with sight laps and long moto's for each class. Timed Practice will also return to the event and award riders their gate pick based on best lap times in each class. The meet will also serve as an AMA Pro Am.
"We are happy to host the event for James again" said Tony Miller, President of Freestone Raceway. "2013 will be the third year for the event and the second year that JS7 has been involved. The event has shown riders what to expect when they come to a pro national track and from 2007 until 2012, Freestone Raceway was one of the most demanding venues on the circuit. James' years of experience in the industry are aiding us to evolve the Spring Championship and provide more to the riders. Having riders earn the right to ride with James at his own facility is icing on the cake."
Changes for 2013 include adding 51cc modified and new Vet classes. "We wanted to figure out a way to allow 50cc riders to make it worth their while in traveling and to hopefully feed the 65cc classes in the very near future" said Tom Shields, Event Director for the JSSC. "We're trying to have everyone able to compete on one bike in two classes and we feel this years JS7 Spring Championship allows that."

Muddy Creek To Hold Pro National In 2013
On DMXS Radio last night, MX Sports’ Davey Coombs announced that the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships will be making its way back to the Southeast making a stop at Muddy Creek Raceway near Bristol, Tennessee sometime in early June (June 1-2) for round #3 of the series. As Coombs talked about keeping the series at 12 rounds, the one track that has a “95% chance” of getting the boot is Freestone Raceway in Wortham, TX. Coombs also started to mention about another possible round that could replace either High Point or Steel City but did not disclose the location as of yet (but later DMXS guest and RCH team manager Kenny Watson threw out a hint about Utah).
Also, Coombs added that his dream of having all 24 motos live on TV, as well as on the web, looks like a real possibility for 2013. With the Olympics happening on NBC Sports this past year taking up a ton of TV time, there will be more space for the pro nationals to have the opportunity of going live in 2013.
Schedule your vacation now for the first Pro National that has been in the Southeast in the past 12 years.
This year marks the 41st Annual Thor Winter Olympics, presented by Pro Circuit, at Gatorback Cycle Park. The best amateur motocross racers in the world gather during the week of Thanksgiving for three days of supercross racing, followed by three days of motocross to battle it out to be the Olympiad Champion. Special awards like the Pro Circuit Platinum Pipe, Scott Golden Goggle, Dunlop Silver Tire, Fox Bronze Boot, Thor Copper Helmet, and the Asterisk Iron Man award are won by racers that have the best finishes in both motocross and supercross for the entire event.
